Grand Piano

Ready for a good home - $32,000.

 Rebuilt Restored Historic Landmark Piano
From the Baker Hotel - Mineral Wells

This grand piano once provided soothing background music for guests checking into one of the South's most elegant Hotels. More than just an inn, the Baker was an institution designed to promote health and relaxation. Guests could drink the non-alcoholic mineral or 'crazy' water at its bars. The Piano's usual home was a curved nook just to the left of the main lobby where local lore claims that Judy Garland would often come down and play her rendition of 'chop sticks' during her stays at the Hotel. Other noted guests at the Baker were Will Rogers, Jean Harlow, Lawrence Welk, Pat Boone, Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, President Lyndon Johnson, Marlene Dietrick, Gen. John J. Pershing, Astronaut John Glenn, film-maker D.W. Griffith, the Three Stooges, and the legendary Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Lorraine Miles McFarland - the Yodeling School Girl remembered belting out her songs accompanied by this piano. "To me the piano always sounded wonderful," McFarland said. Today, now fully restored and rebuilt, this beautiful piano is available, and for sale to the public. Place this historic Grand Piano in your home, Church, or business and enjoy thoughts of the past with this completely refurbished instrument. Call for an appointment. Serious inquiries only.
